"5.6 billion people spend an average of more than 6 hours a day online, but there is nowhere for us to practice intelligent, conscientious citizenship. "

Can you tell us more about Yuvoice and what you are hoping to accomplish?

Yuvoice is the pro-democracy social media company that rewards users for tangible impact.

66% of young activism is online, but 60% of youth say that current social media is negative, focused on outrage, addiction, and advertising.

Yuvoice is the global townsquare online citizens have been waiting for: diverse, fun, and mentally healthy. Our unique growth model allows for direct fundraising by communities on our site, a merchandise cut, corporate-sponsored initiatives, and licensing. We aim to hit 1 billion users in a decade.

Run by and for changemakers and backed by 2+ years of consumer research, Yuvoice’s patent-pending product connects people to real friends and real causes, creates action-oriented communities, and rewards users for actions that change the world.

What is the importance of getting this right, right now?

66% of young activism is online, but 60% of youth say that current social media is negative, focused on outrage, addiction, and advertising. Meanwhile, mental health issues are on the rise. Fascism is on a global upswing. Traditional social media has completely failed.

5.6 billion people spend an average of more than 6 hours a day online, but there is nowhere for us to practice intelligent, conscientious citizenship.

Yuvoice is the townsquare of the future.

Do you have one secret to your success?

I find other people to do things better than I can, as frequently as I can. It can be very tempting when you’re young, intelligent, and energetic to do everything yourself. But learning to network, connect, recruit, lead, motivate, and delegate is essential to true success.

Who is a woman you admire?

Cliched, but my mom. She fought a lot of patriarchy to leave India, immigrate to the U.S., and raise her daughters (including homeschooling us) to give us all the opportunities she couldn’t have.

What’s one thing you can’t live without?

My family.

What is one big trend you’re excited about in 2025?

BlueSky, the launch of Yuvoice, in general a young group of people realizing it’s now or never with fighting for democracy and saving the world. We are seeing more and more activists and I think they’re finally figuring out how to make effective change.

What book or film/show has been the most impactful in your career or life?

Lord of the Rings. I can talk about why for hours, but it’s been some of the best leadership advice, motivation, inspiration, and enjoyment for me. Plus, it introduced me to complex board games and D&D, which I think are the biggest boosts to leadership and career success possible.
