2 Million Mentor Minutes

At The WIE Suite, we pride ourselves on engaging those in positions of power around the value of giving back. Our 2M Mentors platform encourages leaders and change agents to use their elevated positions and influence to close the gender equity gap by championing future leaders. We provide those decision makers with the framework with which to pay it forward, back and sideways.

#2millionmentorminutes is an online initiative launched at the height of the pandemic when over 2 million women lost their jobs. We launched a campaign that asked women leaders to step up and donate their time as mentors to help those in need of support. The campaign went viral with thousands of women (and men) participating by pledging their time, posting to their pages, hosting events, engaging in their comments and generally offering their support.

For Women’s History Month, we are proud to partner with Diane von Furstenberg and Mejuri to move the needle on equity and representation in the workplace with 2M Mentors Live. The event connects inspirational leaders with hundreds of promising young mentees for feedback, insight and advice. Over the course of multiple small group sessions, the participants discuss business strategy, career advancement, communication skills and more.

This International Women’s Day, March 8, please post to your preferred social media channels join our movement by sharing your intention as a mentor and champion. Your post should highlight the number of minutes you plan to donate (ideally a minimum of 60 minutes), the hashtag #2millionmentorminutes, and @thewiesuite for any inquiries. Help us get to 2 million mentor minutes by also nominating two new mentors to do the same.
