Karen Robinovitz is a media veteran who launched Digital Brand Architects (DBA) the first talent management agency for digital influencers. Largely credited for creating the social media influencer market, Karen has been listed as one of 80 Women of Power by Variety and Forbes has called her one of the best-branded women in social media. Before DBA, she created social media strategies for brands such as Tiffany & Co., Tory Burch, Coach, and Estée Lauder Companies. She spent a decade as an accomplished journalist, contributing to the New York Times, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, and Marie Claire amongst others, and was on-air talent on VH-1, E!, MTV and more. She has authored three books, all of which went into over seven printings.

In March, the WIE Suite in partnership with Preacher and Current Forward hosted an epic gathering of Women who Do. It was an evening of cocktails and conversation with and in the company of inspiring women in leadership across many industries: film, technology, television, music and software among them.

This month saw the return of our unique dinner series, Table For 8 where WIE Suite members across the country attend or host Jeffersonian style small dinners to foster connection and conversation. The spring edition was bigger than ever with double the number of women gathering in member homes, and an expanded roster of cities, from San Francisco to upstate New York.

There are people who talk a good game and then there are the Washington DC women who just get it done. These women are actually driving policy, passing legislation and spearheading global movements.

In May, the WIE Suite feted women who do by hosting an intimate gatherings in San Francisco.

Eunice Byun is the co-founder and CEO of Material, the go-to destination for today's home cooks. She started her career at Goldman Sachs, has helped launch and advise several start-ups in the consumer space, and was most recently Head of Digital at Revlon. Since launching in 2018, Material has been featured in The New York Times, Forbes, Oprah's Favorite Things, and GQ's Best Stuff of The Year.

This past June at Cannes, in partnership with Makers, the WIE Suite hosted a lunch and conversation with GLAAD President and CEO, Sarah Kate Ellis. The talk, which took place at the Yahoo Beach Club, was moderated by The WIE Suite CEO, Dee Poku and focused on how brands can better support LGBTQ inclusion. Attendees included the head of Makers Alicin Williamson, the new head of inclusive content at Warners Bros/OWN, Shereen Miller; and Nasdaq’s Chief Digital Officer, Sehr Thadhani.

Desiree Almodovar is a Chief Growth Officer and angel-investor. She works with Consumer Healthcare brands to plan and execute on their go-to-market strategy to accelerate growth.

Christina Hawatmeh has built app and community-based products for over a decade. She is the Founder and CEO of Scopio, a platform that empowers artists to monetize their work and helps businesses access millions of images and hire artists in art, photography video and more. Her goal is to elevate human stories and people from underrepresented communities and regions. Christina is an leading voice in the creator economy movement speaking globally on why “underdogs” need to access.

Courtney Leimkuhler is the co-founder of Springbank Collective; an early-stage investment firm focused on building the infrastructure to close the gender gap. By investing in companies creating the tools, platforms and services that address the themes of care, career and household consumer, Springbank's goal is to catalyze the new care economy and the future of inclusive work.

Most recently, Krista served as Chief Operating Officer of Verizon Consumer Group where she led five consumer channels including 1,500 corporate stores and more than 5,000 authorized retail stores, multiple non-exclusive national retail relationships and a globally-operated customer service program. She led a distributed team of 30,000 employees who served more than 110 million customers and helped deliver more than $100 billion in annual revenue.

Christie Marchese is the CEO of Kinema, a disruptive film distribution platform that empowers filmmakers and transforms any space into a social cinema, for which she successfully raised a $2M seed round led by Kindred Ventures. She was previously the founder and CEO of Picture Motion, an impact agency that generated over $13M in revenue.

Christine Tao is the co-founder and CEO of Sounding Board, the first Dynamic Leader Development Suite designed to bridge the leadership gap at all levels. Before founding Sounding Board in 2016, she enjoyed several roles in Silicon Valley, including Google, YouTube, TapJoy, and other startups.

Hitha Palepu is a consummate multi-hyphenate. She is an entrepreneur, author, and speaker. She is the CEO of Rhoshan Pharmaceuticals, whose lead product was acquired by Hyloris Pharmaceuticals. She is the author of We’re Speaking: The Life Lessons of Kamala Harris (Little, Brown Spark) and How To Pack: Travel Smart for Any Trip (Clarkson Potter). Hitha lives in NYC with her husband and two sons.
